Specifications for Aluminum-Alloy-6063 Tubes
Round aluminum alloy tube is composed of 6063 T6. Anodizing makes smooth-surfaced aluminum alloy round tubes unnecessary for further repainting. Round aluminum alloy tube that is lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and of excellent quality. Pneumatic cylinders, portable devices, and other kinds of air pressure and pneumatic equipment can all be used with aluminum alloy round tubes.

This specification includes round tube and seamless pipe made of aluminum alloy for use in pressure applications.


The die and mandrel method will be used to extrude the pipe and tube, which will be made from hollow extrusion ingots (either drilled, pierced, or cast in hollow form from solid ingots). At the manufacturer's discretion, it might then be cold drawn.

Aluminum-Alloy Extruded Structural Pipe and Tube


Extruded tube and aluminum alloy pipe in certain alloys and tempers, as well as standard diameters, are covered by this specification. The tube and pipe are designed to be used in structural settings. Applications involving the transportation of fluids under pressure are not designed for structural pipes or tubes.


As long as the final products meet the standards and specifications, the producer may choose to use different ways or extrude the pipe or tube using a bridge-type die.

ALUMINUM-ALLOY EXTRUDED ROUND

 

The scope of this specification includes extruded round coiled aluminum alloy tubes for general-purpose uses such instrument lines, gas lines, oil lines, and refrigeration service.

The hot-extrusion method must be used to create the tubes described by this specification.

Tubes must be inspected for leaks using one of the manufacturer's chosen procedures, as selected by the buyer at the time of order placement.

 

Aluminum tube 6063-T5
The ultimate tensile strength of T5 temper 6063 is at least 22,000 psi (152 MPa) in thicknesses up to 0.5 inches (13 mm) and 21,000 psi (145 MPa) in thicknesses between 0.5 and 1.0 inches (25 mm). The yield strength is at least 16,000 psi (110 MPa) in thicknesses up to 0.5 inches (13 mm) and 15,000 psi (103 MPa) in thicknesses between 0.5 and 1.0 inches (25 mm). It has an 8% elongation.

Aluminum tube 6063-T6
T6 temper 6063 has a minimum yield strength of 25,000 psi (172 MPa) and a minimum ultimate tensile strength of 30,000 psi (207 MPa). It has an elongation of 8% or more in parts that are 0.124 inches (3.1 mm) or thinner, and 10% in sections that are thicker.

 

Aluminum tube 6061-T6
T6 temper 6061 has a minimum yield strength of 35,000 psi (241 MPa) and a minimum ultimate tensile strength of 42,000 psi (290 MPa). 40, 000 psi (275 MPa) and 40,000 psi (310 MPa) are more common quantities. [3] It has an elongation of 8% or more in portions that are 0.250 inch (6.35 mm) or thinner, and 10% in sections that are thicker.
