In March 2025, driven by the expansion of photovoltaic power stations in the Middle East and the North American power grid upgrade project, the international orders for ASTM B209 standard A2017 aluminum alloy sheet (corresponding to 2A17-T4 grade) surged 45% year-on-year. Relying on technology upgrades and flexible production systems, Chinese aluminum companies are accelerating to seize the global high-end market share.

‌Capacity layout‌: Henan GNEE Aluminum's average monthly inventory exceeds 8,000 tons, focusing on clean energy fields such as photovoltaic brackets and power transmission components. Its products are certified by ASTM B209M-2014 standards, with ultra-low temperature impact toughness of -196 degree reaching 320MPa, and performance indicators surpass similar products in Europe and the United States. ‌Customs data show that China's A2017 aluminum sheet exports reached US$230 million in the first quarter of 2025, of which orders from the Middle East and North America accounted for more than 65%. In order to meet the needs of small and medium-sized customers, GNEE launched the "zero-cut OEM + vacuum anti-oxidation packaging" service to reduce the logistics costs of cross-border procurement.

By optimizing the alloy ratio of copper (3.5-4.5%) and magnesium (0.4-0.8%), the tensile strength of A2017-T4 aluminum plate is increased to 450MPa, and the elongation is 15%, which meets the stringent requirements of ASTM B209 for 2XXX series alloys and becomes the preferred material in the field of LNG storage tanks and aerospace fasteners.

China's GNEE aluminum is reshaping the global industrial materials supply chain through ASTM standard certification and scenario-based customization capabilities. It is expected that the export volume of high-end aluminum plates will account for 28% of the global market share in 2025.
